Professor Daniella Tilbury and Dr Alex Ryan are lead editors of a special edition of the International Journal of Sustainability in Higher Education (IJSHE) which showcases distinctive work to progress sustainable development in Higher Education across the Asia-Pacific region. IRIS was invited to lead the editorial process following an international symposium in 2008, in collaboration with Professor Peter Blaze Corcoran (Florida Gulf Coast University), Professor Osamu Abe (Rikkyo University) and Dr Ko Nomura (Nagoya University). The Special Issue includes contributions from Japan, India, the Philippines, the South Pacific Islands, China and Taiwan, and was subsidised by the Education for Sustainable Development Research Centre (ESDRC) at Rikkyo University, Japan.
