Staff Profile: Bob Davison
I am involved with all aspects of Fine Art, it's production, display and collection. I have worked in many major galleries both national and commercial. This, together with a long career in teaching, has informed and enabled my own practice.
I have wide and varied connections with the art world. Along with teaching and management roles I have exhibited widely in London and nationally and am represented in many collections. I have had a great deal of experience in the gallery business having worked for many years in Cork Street, London and then in many commercial and public galleries. I continue to advise and assist with several London based collections and collectors. My practice covers painting and drawing. Based in observation of nature, I then take elements to abstraction dealing with perception and how we see and read images.
1978-79. Painting Fellowship, Cheltenham College of Art
1980 Eastern Arts Association, Minor Award.
2016 Senior Fellow of The Higher Education Academy
I continue to advise and assist with several galleries and collections, corporate and private.
