Art and Design

I have been a designer for nearly 25 years, working on posters and campaigns for movies and TV shows including Moulin Rouge and Die Another Day. I am passionate about being creative and sharing that enthusiasm with my students.

Biography

I have studied and worked in graphic design, illustration, advertising, marketing and communications and worked internationally as a designer and educator. My doctorate on advertising and consumer behavior theory, drew conceptually and directly on advertising practice in its investigation of the effects on advertisers and consumers at the same time

Don is Academic Course Leader for Graphic Design and Visual Communication. He teaches the practice and theory of graphic design, advertising, marketing and marketing communications.

Research

My research focuses on advertising and consumer behavior theory, drawing conceptually and directly on advertising practice to investigate the effects on advertisers and consumers at the same time. I am currently looking to support PhD candidates researching into graphic design, advertising, marketing and communications with an emphasis on PAR (Practice As Research) in Design.
