Teaching and research

Teaching

My teaching approaches include practical and research-based examples in which a wide range of knowledge and skills necessary to face current environmental issues – including concerns such as climate change, urban heat island, soil sealing etc. – allow students to rethink their design approaches at all scales and in a sustainable way.

Research

My research passion is driven by the willingness to positively impact cities’ human health and well-being. In particular, my research findings can be used to better design and plan for biophilic cities, to improve environmental quality, to mitigate climate change effects and to increase food security as well as a policy framework for sustainable resilient cities.
