Law

I was always keen on arguing when I was young and decided to put this to good use by becoming a lawyer. The need to argue has largely dissipated but was replaced by a keen interest in how law ‘works’ and how to pass my understanding on to others.

Biography

I was always keen on arguing when I was young and decided to put this to good use by becoming a lawyer. I qualified as a solicitor in property and property litigation in 2007 at Walker Morris Solicitors in Leeds. Having been fascinated by how the law ‘works’, the study of law and enjoying helping others to understand complex issues, I leapt on an opportunity to become a lecturer at Leeds Metropolitan University and have not looked back since. My areas of interest are primarily property law and environmental law.
