Health and Social Care

I came to social work as a mature student. I had great placements and educators which helped me take my learning into the workplace. I am passionate that all students have the same experience and become the best social workers they can be.

Biography

I always wanted to 'help' people grow and develop, initially through teaching. But life events led me to social work and my career has never looked back. I love the diversity and challenge, whether it be in practice working with different people who may be in need of advice, support, care or protection, working in a team supporting colleagues or networking with other organisations, no day is the same. Even as an academic!
