Dr Robin Griffiths

Part-Time Academic Staff

Staff profile picture fallback silhouette
What I love most about teaching is the opportunity to introduce students to films that not only challenge them to rethink what cinema is now, but more importantly, what it could be in the future.

Biography

My specialist research and teaching areas include US and European film history and screen culture, with a specific emphasis on more ‘alternative’ practices and modes of reception. I am particularly passionate about the role that cinema can play as a potential force for social change, and am regularly invited to present papers at conferences in the UK, US and Canada.
