Dr Pauline Williams

Biography

My teaching and research interests are based on my background in education and working with professionals returning to education, or coming via non-traditional routes. Throughout my own learning pathway I have studied within Equestrian Sport, I hold professional coaching qualifications and have combined this curiosity about how people interact and develop relative to the environment around them. My sport has the added complexity of the human-animal interaction as well as the coach-athlete relationship – to explore this I have studied Anthropology topics with an emerging interest in culture, identity and leadership. Professional experiences have connected me to understanding systems, processes and the importance of quality in learning, hence connecting all these aspects through Sport is my interest. I teach research methods and support work based project work.
