Entry Requirements
You normally need at least an upper second class honours degree or equivalent. Professional doctorate candidates should normally have at least two years’ professional practice, or demonstrate professional competence of high standing in the research area, plus an appropriate postgraduate degree. We may also accept students with relevant professional qualifications. Please refer to the relevant course pages for specific entry requirements.
What will I need to do?
You will be asked to submit a one-page précis of your proposed research project with your application form. This will enable us to assess the nature and scope of your topic and ensure that your project can be supervised by the most appropriate staff in a supportive research environment. Most candidates are invited to an interview with the appropriate Research Director and to meet potential supervisors.
If your application is successful, you will receive a formal offer in writing from the Postgraduate Research Centre.
