Through our expert teaching, apprentices will develop the capabilities that are critical to the paraplanning role. They will learn how to prepare statement of advice documents, undertake financial modelling and compile accurate and compliant financial reports.
They will also learn how to perform critical yield calculation checks, undertake client fact finding, complete compliant confidential financial reviews and prepare suitability letters.
Within the workplace they will be developing their skills through on-the-job training, meaning that their contribution to your business will be immediate. They will also gain skills in evaluating industry trends, so they can advise on product developments and identify the associated staff training needs.
Assignments that tackle real world scenarios are a key component of this apprenticeship. Therefore your staff will be developing solutions to current challenges faced by your business as part of their learning.
Learners will also take industry recognised exam that will act as a symbol of quality for both the apprentice and you, their employer.
Apprentice job roles
All apprentices must be employed in relevant industry roles because they will be applying what they have learned in your workplace, from day one. Upon completion of this apprenticeship, learners will be able to demonstration full competence as a qualified paraplanner.
This is a level 4 apprenticeship, meaning that the level of study is equivalent to that of an undergraduate. As such, some apprentices will be new to the world of work while others will be existing employees looking to develop their skills as part of their career progression.
This apprenticeship offers a flexible approach to study, therefore the specific arrangements would be agreed with you and your employees prior to the apprenticeship start date.
The most common duration of study is two years and would typically include the equivalent of one day per week at university. There would also be an element of assessment in the workplace.
We would develop a programme of mentoring in partnership with you, to help you get the best out of both the apprentice and the apprenticeship. A win win.
Throughout the apprenticeship the learner will need to be fully employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week – this is a requirement.
