Welcome to the University of Gloucestershire’s Outreach Department.
We provide a link between the University and the wider community - supporting schools, colleges, local groups and other regional and national networks in promoting progression into higher education.
The focus of the Outreach Team’s work is to undertake activities which both advise and motivate students as they aspire to enter higher education. The Team is responsible for developing relations and links with schools and colleges, including Compact Agreements.
We provide support for school and college pupils and staff through provisions of talks, workshops and associated activities – both at the University and at your school or college.
The focus of these activities is to raise the awareness and aspirations of students who may or may not have previously considered higher education as an option for them. We very much hope to provide knowledge that will enable students to make an informed decision when selecting a course of study in higher education.
Much of the work of the team is also associated with the widening participation agenda of AimHigher.
