This module provides a vehicle for students working with the Frail Elderly to develop and advance their theoretical knowledge and skills, specific to their area of practice. It aims to develop a deep understanding and further consolidate practice knowledge to enable students to:
The module aims to enable the practitioner to demonstrate their ability to apply their practice knowledge to deliver high quality care to a level required of an advanced practitioner. It also aims to enable the student to begin to prepare for senior roles through gaining an in-depth knowledge of their practice area.

In addition to the five generic outcomes above students will develop a learning contract with either their line manager or mentor that is agreed by the lecturer. It will be based around four out of six of the above, which develops the specific application within the students’ area of healthcare practice.
