Students will need to propose to the Module Tutor their project title and also the confirmation of support and access by the Placement Provider before they complete their placement. The project title must be agreed as relevant and appropriate with the Module Tutor prior to the start of Level 6.
The module allows students to indentify an issue relevant to the organization and their program of study and to complete supported independent study to investigate in depth the chosen topic. At this level students will be expected to discover, select, understand, analyze and evaluate information from a variety of sources such as primary and secondary data, and academic, professional and trade literature.
Students must also identify and reflect critically on the role and value of their placement experience in relation to their learning and personal development and consider its value in terms of their future development.
Students will need to communicate and present their ideas coherently, paying attention to clarity of argument and supporting evidence through the assessed presentation and project report.
Students are required to attend a number of preparatory lectures and workshops and then they will be responsible for booking individual meetings with their tutor.
