Build on your skills as a qualified social worker on this flexible course, which allows you to tailor your learning to achieve your professional goals.

Designed for qualified social workers, students choose modules inline with their career goals. The course has several exit points, depending on whether you wish to attain the Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma or Masters level. With three pathways, plus optional modules to choose from, this course allows you to tailor your learning for focused professional development.

Within each of the three pathways - Children and Families, Adults and Leadership and Management - there are two core modules. Students chose a further area of study from a selection of modules covering different aspects of social work.

Students are supported in their learning by experienced teaching staff who are registered social workers with diverse professional backgrounds. The learning experience is dynamic, interactive and experiential. Students are encouraged to bring their own 'practice wisdom' to the course and become research-minded practitioners of change. The importance of interdisciplinary teaching is embedded into the programme, enriching the learning experience.

Entry requirements

• Pre-qualification BSc (honours) social work (360 CATS) or pre-qualification MSc/MA social work (180 CATS)• Be a registered social worker with HCPC or have a postgraduate diploma in social work (240 CATS) with evidence of recent CPD or substantial practice and ability to work at level 7• Must have minimum of one year post-qualification practice as a registered social worker
