This course focuses on developing the latest technical skills required to build effective, high quality, secure, active systems for the World Wide Web. You explore web-based business solutions, evaluating competing business needs. You can expect to develop expertise in producing client and server side web applications, relying on underlying network and database systems.
We also focus on IT project management, database management, ethical and quality issues, the human computer interface and research methods, providing you with a broad and well-balanced perspective.
You will become part of a vibrant academic community, supported by enthusiastic, experienced lecturers, with theory underpinned by practical application. We encourage you to build on any previous expertise, perhaps using it as a basis for your dissertation. This course will open up careers in e-commerce and e-business, web-development and the development of e-business sites, providing skills to contribute at a technical or strategic level.
There are four related Masters programmes in computing. The structure of the programmes is designed to be flexible so that you can easily change from one to another, depending on choice of option module.The running of individual programmes is dependent on the number of applicants.

Entry requirements
A good Honours Degree or equivalent in any subject or an appropriate postgraduate or professional qualification, and have some experience of computer programming. Employment experience may also be taken into account.
Mode of attendance
Full-time and part-time with mainly evening attendance
