Postgraduate Certificate* / Postgraduate Diploma / MEd Inclusive Education
* subject to validation
Providing high quality professional development to teachers and other education professionals, this course develops the understanding and practice of inclusive education. It offers the knowledge and skills needed for classroom teachers, special needs coordinators and other inclusion related roles within local and national educational organisations.
The MEd is studied part-time, over three years. Some modules are taught during the working day and / or over a weekend and / or in twilight sessions.
All provision is supported through web-based materials and email guidance from tutors.
Assessment is via written coursework and project-based assignments. Some modules require participants to undertake observed practice. Assessed work links theoretical concepts to professional practice within the workplace, so if you register for this course you will be studying your students’ learning and seeking to improve your professional practice. If you’re currently in an inclusion-related role and interested in developing your knowledge and understanding of this field, or seeking promotion in the near future, contact the course leader to discuss how this programme might help you.
