Our MSc in Information Technology Management (Top Up) is for those who already have a postgraduate diploma in an IT Management related area. You will develop a firm grasp of research methods and professional computing issues through a 30 credit taught module. As part of this module you will develop your dissertation proposal which will give you a head start and a solid foundation to be successful in your dissertation.
Through this module you will receive the support, time and the opportunity to practice essential techniques needed to help develop your research methods skills which you will apply to your dissertation proposal and dissertation. Studying Professional Issues within this module is also in line with the requirements of professional accreditation bodies such as the BCS or IET.

To complete this module you will visit the university in short blocks and for single days to attend classes or visit your advisor, whilst undertaking assigned tasks in your home environment. You will be supported by your tutors and have access the electronic learning and research materials provided by the university whether on campus or at home. The nature of the taught module allows you to build up a relationship with fellow students and university tutors so that you will feel part of the university even when geographically distant. Students are also able to interact as a community using social networking platforms.
This qualification will help you become more competitive and professional when developing your career in the industry. It can also provide the foundation to go on to do further research
