Postgraduate Diploma/MA
The Landscape Institute accredit the courses in Landscape Architecture at the University of Gloucestershire each academic year as part of a four year (intercalated) Landscape Architecture programme; including the Honours Degree, with the Degree as an intermediate award and the Masters or Diploma as the intended exit award. The Conversion course is also accredited using elements of the Honours Degree to underpin the Masters or Diploma as the exit award.
If you're keen to influence the way in which our natural and built environment is designed, improve the design of public spaces or to plan for the three million new homes we need in the UK and do it sustainably, landscape architecture could be the perfect career for you.
Embracing the planning and design of a diverse range of spaces, both public and private, including: business parks, hospital campuses and highway schemes; landscape architecture is a subject which has the potential to affect us all on a daily basis.
As the oldest accredited course in the UK, our programmes equip graduates with the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the challenges of designing our environment in the 21st century - when issues of sustainability and rapid environmental change are forcing developers to rethink their approaches at all scales.
The first year of this two-year course gives you the basic design skills to ‘convert’ your studies ready for the postgraduate diploma year, after which you will embark on your ‘Pathway to Chartership’ with the Royal Chartered Landscape Institute who represent you as a professional practitioner working in the public or private sector.
Wherever you work you’ll have the confidence of knowing you’ve graduated from a course with a longstanding reputation as one of the best in delivering high quality landscape architecture training.
