Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management - Taught Route
The CIPD is the leading organisation for Human Resource (HR) professionals and managers of people. Membership is regarded as vital if you are pursuing a career in any aspect of human resource management or development. It is equally valuable to those outside the HR profession who are responsible for managing and developing others. Membership of the Institute is gained through assessment against the CIPD’s Profession map, the course is likely to give you evidence against some of the underpinning knowledge element for the professional grades of membership. .
The CIPD Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management programme is suitable for practising and aspiring HR and HRD professionals. No specific qualifications are required to join the programme.
The part-time taught programme, will run across two years (one afternoon and one evening with some weekend skills based workshops). The programme will include innovative approaches to learning, teaching and assessment, including case studies and problem based learning.

Entry requirements
There are no specific qualifications required to join the programme. Current students include those with a range of relevant work experience in Human Resources, Learning & Development and Line Management, and those with qualifications ranging from the CIPD Certificate Programmes, such as the CPP & CTP to those having a degree.
Mode of attendance
Part-time, one afternoon/evening a week. Occasional weekend skills workshops.
Work-Based Learning Programme
Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management - Work-Based Learning
A more flexible approach for experienced HR Managers. This programme will run in a similar way to the previous PAC route.

It is equally valuable to those outside the HR profession who are responsible for managing and developing others. Membership of the Institute is gained through assessment against the CIPD’s Profession map, the course is likely to give you evidence against some of the underpinning knowledge element for the professional grades of membership. .
The work based learning route of the CIPD Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management programme is suitable for practising HR and HRD professionals, who would prefer a work based and competence based approach to qualification and developing their knowledge and expertise.
You would need to be able to provide evidence of your activities in the workplace against the specific CIPD standards. No specific qualifications are required to join the programme.
The work-based learning route will be through a negotiated study plan between the tutor and student
