I attended an open day at Park Campus last September and met Hilary, the CIPS course leader, who answered my questions and advised me about the content of the course and the suitability in relation to my personal objectives and career goals.

The location is close to motorway junctions so is convenient for client meetings. The facilities at the university are also great, so you can read through additional material in the library or grab a bite to eat in the refectory. I can also fit lessons around my busy work and family schedule.

The staff are incredibly supportive and professional and really motivate and encourage me to want to continue to learn and progress onto the next level of CIPS

The modules are thorough and varied, ranging from contract law to measuring purchasing performance; all of which are applicable to day-to-day business operations in a variety of sectors.

I originally started the course with a clear intention to move from my career in Sales and Marketing into a Purchasing role.

However, as well as opening up new career opportunities, it’s also given me great advantage in my current role, to be able to appreciate my clients’ objectives, processes and business operations with more clarity. It has enabled me to work more effectively with my clients to tailor appropriate solutions to their business needs.

CIPS seemed the obvious choice to enable me to gain the essential tools in order to progress in my business career.
