If you've ever thought about teaching English abroad, or to non-native speakers in the UK, studying a 'Teaching English as a Foreign Language' (TEFL) programme can be your first step to achieving your goal. TEFL programmes such as the CELTA are designed to equip you with the skills you need to impart your knowledge to international students.
CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) is an internationally recognised qualification awarded by Cambridge Assessment English. It enables you to teach English as a foreign language and is recognised throughout the world by employers, opening the door to a range of rewarding and exciting career options.
INTO University of Gloucestershire is a real teaching environment accredited by Cambridge Assessment English, The British Council and English UK on the University of Gloucestershire’s beautiful Park campus. The centre offers face-to-face and online CELTA courses, both of which are popular with a diverse range of people, whether you are a new graduate or looking for a career change.
You will be taught by an experienced team of CELTA trainers, two of whom are CELTA Assessors who visit other CELTA centres to monitor standards. INTO University of Gloucestershire prides itself on the results our students achieve, which are higher than the national average. Our trainers offer you advice and support on employment opportunities during the course as well as ongoing CV and application support afterwards.
Our alumni have succeeded in entering employment in a variety of settings and countries, from working with refugees in the UK to teaching in schools in Vietnam.
