Design effective marketing solutions for real-world campaigns and gain a Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) accredited degree, recognised by major employers.

Focusing on digital marketing activities, you will explore subjects such as customer behaviour, marketing principles and the global business environment in your first year. You can then tailor your degree to your interests with subjects such as luxury brand management and e-interactivity and social media. You will also become well versed in omni-channel marketing, Google Analytics and Markstrat, the world’s leading marketing simulation software.

From 2018, the University of Gloucestershire School of Business and Technology will move to a brand-new, state-of-the-art home at our Oxstalls campus in Gloucester. Study style

As well as a mix of lectures, seminars, group work and presentations, you'll work on live marketing challenges, connecting products, services and brands to customers. Real world case studies offer you the opportunity to build your expertise while simulations working on live marketing campaigns with UK and international brands give you practical experience. You will have opportunities to work with leading businesses abroad as part of your international trip and be able to complete a work placement as part of your degree. This will prepare you to graduate career-ready.

If you do not meet the academic and English language requirements, you should consider a preparation course at INTO University of Gloucestershire, which will help to prepare you for study on this degree. INTO University of Gloucestershire is based at our Park campus and offers a range of courses including International Foundation Art, Design and Media.

Placement type:

12-Month, Optional

Duration:

12 months, full-time (minimum 35 hours per week)

Location:

Placements can be carried out in the UK or overseas; popular overseas placement destinations include the USA, China and Europe. You may even wish to source your own placement in other countries.

Visa requirements:

If carrying out a placement abroad, there may be a visa requirement.

Financial arrangements:

On your placement year you will pay a reduced tuition fee and are still eligible to apply for a maintenance loan. Financial support is also available from the Student Finance Team by contacting moneyadvice@glos.ac.uk.

You will have access to guidance from the Placements Team throughout your placement search, and for the duration of your placement year. You can contact the Placements Team on placements@glos.ac.uk.
