Foundation Degree
Early years settings, schools, education authorities, colleges and universities are often similar to businesses in their organisational aspects, but educational environments offer many other challenges when it comes to administration.
Our course is designed for administrators or business managers in educational settings. It enables committed, hardworking professionals to gain academic recognition for their expertise through the enhancement of their knowledge, skills and understanding. It’s a chance to gain skills in reflective and critical self evaluation, engage with scholarly writing, and research based practice.
The full-time course combines work-based learning with university attendance one afternoon/evening per week. With this pattern, the course seeks to meet the needs of those working on a full-time basis.
Foundation degrees credit individuals for existing qualifications and skills, so completion times may vary. Full-time participants should expect to complete the course in two years. Those studying on a part-time basis should expect to complete the course in three to five years.
On successful completion of the foundation degree, students can progress to the final year of a BA (Hons) in Strategic Business Management, either on a full or part time basis.
