Foundation Degree
Featuring work-based learning and academic qualifications this course is ideal for those who work in education as HLTAs, teaching assistants or in similar support roles.
By steering students down an academic route, our course enables committed and hardworking practitioners to gain recognition for their skills. We bring together learning on the job and university attendance, allowing students to get the best of both worlds and study for a formal qualification while in employment. Employment will be for at least the equivalent of a half-time post or organised voluntary work.
Foundation degrees accredit individuals for existing qualifications and skills gained in the workplace, so completion times may vary. Most participants will study full-time and should expect to complete the course in two years. Those studying on a part-time basis should expect to complete the course in a minimum of three years and a maximum of five years.
If you are keen to develop your skills and gain recognition for those you have already gained then this could be the course for you.
