Searching for an environment that is challenging, yet remains friendly and supportive?

Film Production will provide you with a wide range of professional skills from pre- to post-production including cinematography, sound, lighting, editing and direction.

Each level has its own dedicated cameras and editing suites and, whilst the majority of your practical work will take place on location, your base is a purpose-built Media Centre. You will be using the latest equipment whilst gaining the traditional, transferable craft skills that will allow you to respond to whatever developments a rapidly changing industry may have in store.

While predominantly practical, the course is underpinned by a range of film theory and management modules designed to complement and enhance your understanding of cinema.

If you have the drive needed to succeed in this highly competitive industry studying for the degree in Digital Film Production will give you the knowledge, self-assurance and practical experience required.

Compulsory work placement module at level 2.

How will the course be assessed?

 Predominantly through coursework.

Entry requirements

  • points for degree: 280 using the UCAS tariff system
  • Selection is normally by interview with prospective students usually having completed A-levels, with at least one in an art, film or media related subject, or a BTEC National Diploma in a relevant subject, or an Art & Design Foundation course.
