This course is all about ideas, skills and strong industry links.

Designers produce ideas in order to communicate and the success of any project depends on the strength of the idea and the skill with which it’s executed.

Working in our spacious studios you’ll have access to computers, printers and the internet in a professional studio environment. You will create ideas for branding, packaging and advertising, along with magazines, books and information design. You’ll also explore digital and moving image and areas of more personal expression and self-authorship.

Through workshops, you will learn new skills, explore all areas of the subject and develop your own personality and individuality as a designer. "The people at the university are always friendly and helpful."

BA (Hons) Graphic Design
I came to the university as I was told by my college teacher that it was one of the best universities in the country for graphic design.
The nightlife is good in Cheltenham, and the people at the university are always friendly and helpful.
I made some good friends, and especially enjoyed the theory side of the course which was unexpected, especially doing my dissertation.  We always had to present our projects so that I got used to talking in front of a group.  This made it a lot easier for me when it came to my interview at my current job.  It also made me be confident about my own work so that I could talk about it without justifying it.
I am now setting up a photography company in Redditch together with my business partner.  My role is as a photographer and also business director, as well as doing the design for the company (business cards, letter heads, website etc).
We have also started doing vinyl sign writing to add to our list of services which already includes weddings, events, studio shoots, portfolios, commercial photography, image restoration and printing.
It is only our second month of trading and we are already getting a lot of work, even though we haven’t paid for any advertising yet!
