I have been an economist all of my professional life at two previous universities and 7 years in the insurance industry. I joined the university in 1995 and have been a course leader, director of studies and subject group leader.

Biography

A graduate of Loughborough, Manchester and City universities, I hold a PhD in Educational Research from Lancaster University. I worked in the insurance industry for 7 years prior to joining the University of Gloucestershire. Although published in the insurance economics field, my professional and scholarly interests lie in pedagogy and improving the student experience. I am currently an Academic Adviser to the Association of International Accountants (AIA) and also an external examiner in economics for a UK university. I was awarded a University Teaching Fellowship in 2010.
