Honours Degree 1 Year Top Up
This course covers a broad spectrum of media theories and skills from media communications and culture, journalism and public relations.
The BA Single Honours (top-up) gives you the opportunity to top-up your existing qualification to a full BA honours degree through final year entry; it is aimed at international students currently studying on a Foundation Degree or a Higher Education Diploma overseas. International students will study in classes with home students pursuing their BA (Hons) degrees..
Delivery of this course will be via both theory and professionally focused concepts. Theory modules will be delivered through a mix of lectures and active workshop-style seminars, while production modules will be taught in well-equipped computer suites allowing hands-on learning and practical classes will be delivered in professional purpose built studios.
The course culminates in a Dissertation or optional practical project which will reflect your learning and relate to your professional practice.
You will have the opportunity for research-based learning through our research centre into media and memory, and two other planned centres, based on news and screen culture, due to be established in early 2010.
