The personal, economic and community benefits of sport are undeniable, but delivering these benefits long term requires creative, skilled and dedicated managers. Throughout the course you will get to the heart of what makes sport special, and why both governments and commercial enterprises seek to promote participation. You will explore the need for effective marketing, financial and people management, and develop the knowledge and skills you need to put these into practice. There will be opportunities for you to gain both strategic and operational knowhow, perhaps leading to a new business proposition in your final year.
You will be able to study aspects ofsport management such as events, facilities, sponsorship and sport tourism which continue to grow in significance, and present opportunities for both satisfying and rewarding careers. And when you graduate, you’ll be ready to become part of this exciting and challenging industry.
