Photography, fine art, fashion

The Centre for Art and Photography is a thriving hub of creativity, with a dark room, a processing room, a Mac suite, the dedicated fine art studios, the sculpture yard and the fashion design and production studios.

The on-campus Hardwick Gallery also offers a diverse programme of public exhibitions, talks and discussions.

Investments to the campus

Our Pittville Student Village, which is the result of £38million investment, is now open for new University of Gloucestershire students, adding approximately an additional 600 rooms to our existing portfolio. It's just 10 minutes' away from the Centre for Fashion, Art and Photography and our Francis Close Hall campus.

“Vibrant and empowering”

The centre came alive at the launch of our Fashion degree in November 2014, with retailers and designers flocking to our doors to catch the first glimpse of our budding designers work.

Future talent

“We’re passionate about identifying future talent, and if there are people here who are amazing, and over 3 years we can see that they’re right for us, why would we not want to work with them?”

Bars and events

With an onsite cafe, you’ll also be 5 minutes’ walk away from the Students' Union (SU) bar at Francis Close Hall campus, where you’ll have opportunities to run your own events in addition to a number of SU run events. We hold several balls a year, the highlight being our summer ball, held at Cheltenham Racecourse and attracting over 5000 students – it’s certainly an event not to be missed.
