Humanities, natural and social sciences, education and public services, art and design

With us from the very beginning, Francis Close Hall has seen our legacy grow from strength to strength throughout our nearly 170 years in education.

Just a short walk away from Cheltenham town centre, you’ll have everything you need right on your door step, with easy access to Cheltenham’s lively bars, clubs, specialist shops and cafes.

Investments to the campus

Alongside a number of improvements to our study spaces and facilities we’ve also recently developed the onsite design studios for our designers and architects. The fully equipped laboratory space for our biosciences students has been refurbished too.

We’ve also got some exciting plans to build a student village 10 minutes away from Francis Close Hall campus.

Bars and events

Each campus has its own Students' Union (SU) bar, where you’ll have opportunities to run your own events in addition to a number of SU run events. We hold several balls a year, the highlight being our summer ball, held at Cheltenham Racecourse and attracting over 5000 students – it’s certainly an event not to be missed.
