About CILC
At the University of Gloucestershire we are very proud of our language centre which offers high-quality courses and support as well as excellent value for money.
We have a range of courses in English language and other languages as well as courses for new and experienced language teachers. Whatever course you study our experienced, qualified teaching team teach our small groups in a friendly relaxed environment. Our staff will help you with any arrangements before you arrive, and support you during your stay.
Our English language courses are taught at our beautiful Park campus in Cheltenham.
The English language programmes are flexible, take place all year round and can be studied for a short time or a long time.
The courses have been carefully developed to help you achieve success with clear course assessments to show your progress and regular tutorials to give you personal support as you develop your language skills.
The courses in Cheltenham are accredited by the British Council and the language centre is a member of English UK. You can download a copy of our English language brochure here
For teachers we have a number of different courses. Our courses for new teachers lead to the Cambridge ESOL Certificate in English Language Teaching (CELTA) and we are very proud of our success rates and the quality of the teacher training we offer.
We also offer courses for experienced non native teachers.
The University also offers other language courses in French, Spanish, Mandarin and German.
