Each campus has its own library with a dedicated customer service team and subject specialists.

Our extensive resources support first year undergraduates through to PhD students

Whichever campus you are based at, you’ll find extensive subject related resources staffed by subject specialist librarians.

  • A comprehensive range of e-books, journals and databases available anytime anywhere

Open access computing, Wi-Fi and photocopying

  • Over 500 open-access computers are provided at our three campuses, with some dedicated rooms providing 24/7 access. PCs and Macs are available at each campus, and each computer has the latest version of Microsoft Office installed.
  • Self-service lockers on each campus let you loan a laptop for up to 6 hours
  • The university also provides free wireless internet access (eduroam) to all staff and students. WiFi is available on all campuses in the libraries, teaching spaces, SU bars, refectories and at many other locations on each campus.
  • You can wirelessly print in our libraries too, with extensive scanning and photocopying facilities are also provided

Advice and support

Student services provide extensive advice and support throughout your time with us.

Each campus has a dedicated student Helpzone and Park campus has an International Student support team.

The Students’ Union also provide a range of advice and services.

External library memberships

You don’t need to be a current student or staff member to access our libraries. Individuals are welcome to join the Library by applying for membership. Details of our External Library membership scheme and how to apply can be found in the guide below.

NB: Terms and conditions of external library membership may be subject to change at short notice. Current external members will be notified in advance where possible.

SCONUL access scheme

If you’re studying at another academic institution, you may qualify for the SCONUL scheme which provides free access to many university libraries. Details of the scheme and how to apply can be found in the guide below.

Special Collections and Archives

​​​​​We hold the historic records of University of Gloucestershire, predecessor colleges and several special collections relating to Gloucestershire and beyond.

Open to students, staff and members of the public, the service offers a wide range of archive and special collections material for your research.
