University of Gloucestershire teams up with Aardman

​A new partnership between the University of Gloucestershire and Oscar® winning studio Aardman, offers students the chance to learn from one of the biggest names in UK animation.

A series of masterclasses, led by the team behind Wallace & Gromit, Chicken Run and Shaun the Sheep, will be offered to animation students at the University of Gloucestershire. These include storyboarding and production workshops, advice on how to get a job in the industry and a behind the scenes tour of their studios in Bristol.

This exciting opportunity will be offered to all final year animation students from September 2017.

Ian Friend, Senior lecturer in Animation at the University of Gloucestershire says:

“Helping students to professionally develop their skill and imagination is a vital part of our teaching where we put employability and creativity at the heart of our curriculum. In a highly competitive industry this opportunity to learn from, and interact with, top professionals at this world leading animation studio will put them ahead of the field.”
