All Golds cup game chosen as national showcase

Ladbrokes, the British-based betting and gaming company, who are this season’s sponsor of the Challenge Cup, have chosen the All Golds’ game as their national showcase match.

Officials from Ladbrokes will be in attendance, along with the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup Trophy that will make its appearance at the game which kicks off at 3pm at the Prince of Wales stadium in Cheltenham.

Rob Webber, University of Gloucestershire All Golds CEO, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be selected as the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup showcase match this weekend. It is especially well timed ahead of the Cheltenham Festival and Gold Cup next week and particularly exciting for supporters, students, local residents, staff and players who will have the opportunity to see and be photographed alongside the famous trophy at the Prince of Wales stadium.”

Rupert Thacker, Head of Sponsorship at Ladbrokes, said: “We are delighted to be supporting the All Golds in their fixture against Skirlaugh in the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup. It was too good an opportunity not to support the fixture as it is the beginning of a big week for us as we head off to the Cheltenham Festival. We look forward to bringing the famous Challenge Cup to the Prince of Wales Stadium and wish both teams the best of luck.”

Last February, the All Golds hosted the third round draw at the university’s Media Centre.

Tickets for the match are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for concession and are available to buy online at www.allgoldsrugby.co.uk or on the gate on Sunday. Gates and bar are open from 1pm.

The third round features 12 ties involving the 10 winners from the second round and 14 clubs from the Kingstone Press League 1. Ties will be played over the weekend of March 7-8. The 2015 Ladbrokes Challenge Cup final at Wembley Stadium will take place on Saturday August 29.
