Computing and games in the spotlight at COMX15

Students at the University of Gloucestershire will be showcasing their computing and games talents at their end of year exhibition, COMX15 (link removed as event has now finished).

An annual event for the last 12 years, the free exhibition features technical, aesthetic and project management skills of students on Computer Games Design, Computing and Multimedia Web Design degree courses. Forensic Computing students have formed forensic investigation companies and have carried out a seizure, data analysis and presentation of evidence for a courtroom moot.

Featuring the talents of 13 teams of students, the exhibition is part of the University’s First Festival Fortnight and takes place for the first time at Fullwood House, The Park Campus in Cheltenham, on Saturday May 30, from 10am until 4pm.

Dr Nina Reeves, Course Leader for Multimedia Web Design, said: “This is a great opportunity to come and experience some of the work our students have been creating in a wide range of disciplines. There will be a private view the evening before for businesses and clients such as Cheltenham Black History Month and we are looking forward to showcasing the exhibition in the beautiful Fullwood villa for the very first time.”

From June 1 to June 14, Festival Fortnight (link removed as event has now finished) is celebrating the hard work and achievements of students at the University of Gloucestershire and features a wide range of events, most of which are open to the public and free of charge.
