Lecturer’s multi-award winning film is coming to Cheltenham

​A multi-award winning film produced by University lecturer, Lindsey Dryden, will be screened at the Park campus, Cheltenham, on Monday 11 and Tuesday 12 December.  

Based in Stroud, Lindsey Dryden produced ‘Unrest’, the Sundance award-winning documentary about Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME),  and also lectures on the Film Production at the University where she mentors emerging filmmakers.

The feature documentary is an intimate portrayal of director Jennifer Brea’s fight to overcome her ME diagnosis, also known as chronic fatigue syndrome, a largely misunderstood disease that is thought to affect around 17 million people worldwide.

The film, has received global attention after being awarded the Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival and receiving the Illuminate Award at the Sheffield Doc/Fest. Following the screening there will be a Q&A with Lindsey, where she’ll be able to discuss the experiences she had producing the documentary.

Lindsey Dryden, Film Production Lecturer at the University of Gloucestershire said:
“It’s very exciting to bring ‘Unrest’ to Gloucestershire at last, after touring the film to more than fourty cinemas across the country so far. It’ll be a real pleasure to share the film with my students and colleagues; they’ve been there with me while I’ve been producing, and witnessed lots of milestones, such as our Sundance world premiere and award almost a year ago.”

‘Unrest’ will be screened from 18:30 at TC014, Park campus, 11 and 12 December, followed by a Q&A with Producer Lyndsey Dryden.
