University continues to rise as second league table of the year is published

The university has risen two places in (now 81st) The Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019. This follows the publication of the Guardian league table, which ranked the university equal 55th out of 121 institutions.

The Sunday Times also highlighted the university’s achievement in receiving a silver award in the Teaching Excellence Framework, whose panel commented favorably on an integrated approach to careers, volunteering and placements that enhances student employability.

A review of the university in yesterday’s publication of the Good University Guide reads “Gloucestershire remains in our top 50 for student satisfaction with teaching quality and the student experience.”

University Vice-Chancellor, Stephen Marston, said:
“We are pleased that the university has risen in the second league table of the year, this coming on the back of our eight place rise in The Guardian league table earlier this year. 2018 has been an exciting year for the University of Gloucestershire. We have opened our new School of Business and Technology at Oxstalls campus in Gloucester alongside new purpose-built student accommodation in the City at Blackfriars and enhancement of the 65-acre Oxstalls Sports Park. In Cheltenham, we have opened a brand new Design Centre and further industry-standard technical facilities for the Media School at Park campus. We are an ambitious university and the major developments we are making to improve students’ learning, support for employability and the quality of our facilities are clearly paying off.”
