University seeks strategic partner for development ‎of student residences in Gloucester

The University of Gloucestershire seeks a strategic partner for the development ‎of student residences in the city of Gloucester for September 2018 and for further phased delivery over an anticipated period of 5 years thereafter. The university is in the midst of a substantial capital programme of circa £90 million and part of this entails the relocation of its existing Business School and 1,100 students from Cheltenham to its Oxstalls campus in Gloucester by September 2018. The Business School plans to grow student numbers by a further 1,000 in the five year period up to 2020/21. The new student residences will provide city centre accommodation for first, second and third year students.

The university intends to select a ‎strategic development partner in the next few months and seeks expressions of interest from potential partners who have experience in land purchase and the design, build, finance and operation of student residences in city centre locations.

Interested parties should e-mail their expressions of interest to jwain@glos.ac.uk by no later than Monday 6 June 2016.

An information pack will be issued to all interested parties outlining the selection process.
