Many of our partners offer students graduate employment based on the value they added to the business while on placement. The university’s contribution to the local economy
The university contributes to Gloucestershire’s economy in a number of direct and indirect ways, including through our staff and students, business development, volunteering, and purchasing with local and national businesses. In 2014 Biggar Economics (an independent economic consultancy) produced a report to assess the full extent of our economic impact.
Vice-chancellor Stephen Marston said: “We are proud to be the university of, and for, Gloucestershire. This report estimates for the first time the various impacts of the university’s activities, in terms of supporting economic, social and community wellbeing for Gloucestershire.”
