The Patch - sleeps 7-8 people
Extensively enlarged and improved in the last few years, The Patch is a detached and spacious chalet-style house offering four comfortable bedrooms, all with electric heaters, hanging space and drawers.
Two bedrooms are downstairs in the Victorian railway carriage – twin beds and bunk beds. The carriage also houses a shower room/toilet, with an electric fan heater. Upstairs are a double and a single bedroom. Duvets, pillows and extra blankets are provided, but bed linen and towels are not.
There's a wood burner in the spacious lounge/diner, along with a TV/video/DVD player with films, a cupboard with games, and three shelves of books.
The large kitchen is comprehensively equipped – cooker, microwave, toaster, lots of crockery, cutlery and cookware etc - but we don't have either a dishwasher or washing machine.
Outside at the front there's parking for at least two cars. The enclosed garden is mainly laid to lawn, and there's plenty of garden furniture in the shed and garage, where there is also a collection of old but serviceable bicycles to suit most people, large and small. At the back it's particularly private, and there's a Weber barbecue which you are welcome to use.
