Congratulations to Caroline who was named The Sunday Times National PE Teacher of the Year 2009...
“This past year has been a great success for me as I was recently named as The Sunday Times National PE Teacher of the Year 2009 at the Sports Women of the Year Awards. I have also received the School Sport Co-ordinator of the year award for my local area and I am now striving to develop my own Health and Wellness business as well as teaching Physical Education at South Bromsgrove High School.
“In addition to teaching I have also mentored World Gold Medalist Track Cyclist Jess Varnish and Premiership Ladies Footballer Maimee Morris for five years, and Olympic Development squad track cyclist Emily Kay for a year.
“I have also played National League Basketball and currently represent Stroud. I was Top Goal Scorer for the Midlands Hockey League as well as Stourport Ladies Hockey Club last season and I have just been named as top goal scorer for Stourport for the summer league.”
As an Ambassador of Sport Caroline travels around the UK attending sports matches, conferences and events, delivering presentations, speaking at corporate & network events and training staff. “I am currently working with The Sunday Times on a variety of projects leading up to the London 2012 Olympics.”
