Cheltenham Guitar Summer School & Festival

More than 150 music-lovers of all ages could be heard jamming on the grounds of the University’s Park Campus last week (23 July-5 August 2011) for The International Guitar Foundation’s Summer School part of the Cheltenham Guitar Festival 2011.
This year the school welcomed some of the best players and tutors across various styles from rock, metal and blues through to funk, jazz, fingerstyle and even classical. The line-up included workshops, masterclasses and concerts for guitar, drums and voice.

Wedding Venue Launch & Open Day

The University of Gloucestershire has opened up the grounds of its Park campus to couples who are looking to tie the knot close to the centre of Cheltenham.
The University’s 9.5 hectare estate, centred in the prestigious Park offers landscaped gardens and an ornamental lake, which could provide a stunning backdrop for civil wedding ceremonies, drinks receptions or wedding breakfasts.
Ellen Taylor, Acting Head of Commercial Services, said: “Whether you have in mind a traditional marquee with all the trimmings, an elegant Nordic Tipi, exotic Arabian tent or, homely Mongolian Yurt, Fullwood Lawn can accommodate marquees seating up to 400 people.”. The Fullwood grounds are also available other functions such as parties and family celebrations.
