Funded by the Department for Children, Schools and Families, this is a partnership project, led by Leonie Labistour, between Play England. Playwork Partnerships at the University of Gloucestershire and SkillsActive. Over three years our role in the project will be to develop and deliver cross professional play training to support the Government's national play strategy, in particular local authorities embarking on Play Pathfinder and Play Builder Projects. The project will deliver professional development training on play to 4000 individuals from various sectors including the police, town planners, landscape architects, teachers, social workers and health workers. The training will take place across all top tier local authority areas in the nine English regions. We will develop the course and associated student and tutor training materials.
