Hosting an Olympic Team is a significant operational task. Alongside numerous local supporters, the key organizations involved are the University of Gloucestershire, Cheltenham Borough Council, and Gloucester City Council.
Athletes and support staff will be hosted at the Oxstalls Campus in Gloucester, which provides accommodation, food, recreational facilities, strength & conditioning facilities, science support, and therapy and recovery facilities.
An operations group is overseeing the planning to ensure the athletes remain safe, well and happy, and can go about their training and leisure without disruption. In summary, this group is all about creating a ‘home away from home’ environment.
