Research in the UK and Sweden
The Early Years RIG is involved in a research project funded by the PRSI during 2008-2009 entitled ‘Comparative Student Learning Experiences of Early Years Education – Sweden and the UK’.
The Project Team is: Sally Palmer, Janet Rose, Louise Gilbert and Claire Harris.
The AcRE research mentor is Professor Mary Fuller.
The team expects to disseminate their findings in several journals. One particular focus will be on the student learning experience in a different context; a second will be on the question of the effects of school starting age in UK and Sweden; the third will be the appraisal of a set of comparative education issues for comparative education.
