Research Methods 

The research involves the following stages:

1. A literature review of research/practice in interdisciplinary learning in ESD (which will be posted on the HE Academy’s EvidenceNet)
2. An e-survey of taught postgraduate course leaders of ESD courses nationally
3. An e-survey of student perceptions from ten institutions on their interdisciplinary learning experience, followed by focus groups
4. National workshop organised by project team and involving subject centres to discuss research results and share draft guides
5. Development of integrated Guide materials (+ case-studies) for staff and students
6. Dissemination and evaluation
