Psychology research facilities

Psychology staff and students have access to a range of facilities including dense-array 128 channel electroencephalography (EEG) used to measure brain activity, eye-tracking equipment (both stand alone and in combination with VR), and psychophysiological apparatus for investigating a range of biological measures such as heart rate, blood pressure and stress hormones.

We recognise Virtual and Augmented Reality as a key research tools to help simulate more naturalistic environments, whilst still enabling experimental control. Our VR laboratory includes Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Microsoft HoloLens equipment.

Staff and students have access to a forensic interviewing suite and a comprehensive array of psychometric and other testing materials.
