Biography

I completed a BA and MA in Linguistics at UCT, before doing a PhD in Linguistics at the University of Reading. My research area is Sociolinguistics and Dialectology. I specialise in developing theoretical models of the diffusion of language change. I lectured at Reading, Sheffield and Edinburgh, before coming to University of Gloucestershire.

I absolutely love Linguistics and Language Studies, and this comes across in my lectures on Dialects in Literature and Film, Sociolinguistics, Structure of English and History of English. I want to inspire you to be interested and amazed by the content of these modules.
