Jonathan's research area is sociolinguistics and dialectology. He specialises in developing theoretical models of the diffusion of language change, and can supervise postgraduate students in these areas.

Biography

Jonathan completed a BA and MA in Linguistics at UCT, before doing a PhD in Linguistics at the University of Reading. His research area is Sociolinguistics and Dialectology. He specialises in developing theoretical models of the diffusion of language change, and can supervise PG students in these areas. He has lectured at Reading, Sheffield and Edinburgh, before coming to the University of Gloucestershire.
