Julia’s recent research projects include investigations into the differential stickiness of pollen throughout the season, the vegetation history of Skomer and Skokholm Islands and equine herd structure and parasitic burden.

Biography

Julia is the Course Leader for the undergraduate degree in Ecology and Environmental Science. She has a variety of ecological research interests ranging from vegetation response to changing conditions; dispersal and preservation of pollen grains and spores and internal parasite ecology. Julia supervises postgraduate researchers in areas of ecology and regularly publishes in international peer-reviewed academic journals.

Research

I have researched and published in a range of environmental areas. My research specialisms are in vegetation reconstruction using palaeoecological tools, and epidemiology of equine parasites from pasture. I collaborate in my research with internal colleagues from the university and also externally from academia and industry.
